Combine Richland Rum, Sweet Red Vermouth, and two dashes of Angostura Bitters into a cocktail shaker with ice. Shake gently, then pour/strain into rocks glass. Garnish with an expressed orange peel. Enjoy!

This Classic Cocktail is made even better with Richland Rum…but with which Expression!? Any of our Aged Expressions are a perfect match, but the one you choose really comes down to personal preference: Cask Strength for a little more notoriety, Milk Stout Cask Exchange for chocolatey/dessert like elements, Port Cask Exchange to add a bouquet of ripe/sweet red fruits, and of course, you can’t go wrong with the Classic.
Next up, what kind of secondary liquid are you going to use? The standard is sweet vermouth, but perhaps your recipe is better with some Fernet Branca or…a Port Wine. And the bitters, ah yes the bitters. Keep the Angostura, add orange bitters, maybe something more citrusy, or sweeter?? It’s all up to you, and we can’t wait to hear what you’ve concocted!
